The tool enables a design team to talk about lesson learned, instead of what went wrong. As a result students will value teamwork and understand how to work more effectively in a design team.
A positive critique should not be part of formal assessment as it is an opportunity for students to understand how design teams work. Hence, it is best used after formal assessment is completed, so that students are happy to share their experiences of group work openly, with their team and others.
